Apodemus Group. Included in subgenus Alsomys by Zimmerman (1962) and Pavlinov et al. (1995a) but placed in the "Apodemus Group" by Musser et al. (1996), which contains the Eastern Asian species Zimmerman placed in Alsomys as well as A. agrarius and A. chevrieri, which are in subgenus Apodemus.

The karyotype of Apodemus chevrieri(Figure 1A) consisted of four small meta- or submetacentric pairs (nos. 1–4) and 19 large-to-small acrocentric pairs (nos. 5–23) in autosomes, large acrocentric X chromosome, and small acrocentric Y chromosome. The 2nand FNa values were 48 and 54, respectively. Open in a separate window Figure 1

The Chevrier's field mouse (Apodemus chevrieri) is an endemic species to China and is an important pest in agriculture and human diseases. Abstract Chevrier’s field mouse, Apodemus chevrieri Milne−Edwards (Rodentia: Muridae), has been identified as the main wild reservoir of plague in the sylvatic plague focus of Yunnan Province, southwest China. Apodemus is the most common rodent to inhabit the broadleaf forests in the temperate zone of the Palaearctic region (Orlov et al. 1996; Zhu et al. 2013); Chevrier's field mouse, Apodemus chevrieri Evaporative water loss (EWL) and energy metabolism were measured at different temperatures in Eothenomys miletus and Apodemus chevrieri in dry air. The thermal neutral zone (TNZ) of E. miletus was 22.5–30 °C and that of A. chevrieri was 20–27.5 °C. Mean body temperatures of the two species were 35.75±0.5 and 36.54±0.61 °C.

Abstract. Eothenomys miletus and Apodemus chevrieri are typical species of small mammals inhabiting in Hengduan mountains region. The characteristics of thermoregulation and thermogenesis of two mammals were measured to search their physiological and ecological characteristics of adaptations to this region in different seasons. Apodemus chevrieri (Milne-Edwards, 1868) – Chevrier's Field Mouse : References Expert(s): Expert: Guy G. Musser : Notes: Department of Apodemus: Spesies: Apodemus chevrieri Milne-Edwards, 1868: Tikus ladang Chevrier (Apodemus chevrieri) adalah sebuah spesies tikus dalam keluarga Muridae. To investigate the relationship between the energy strategies in response to food restriction and the levels of metabolism in small mammals, body mass, resting metabolic rate (RMR), nonshivering thermogenesis (NST) and cytochrome c oxidase (COX) activity were measured in Apodemus chevrieri that were subjected to different levels of food restriction (FR). Established in 1964, the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species has evolved to become the world’s most comprehensive information source on the global conservation status of animal, fungi and plant species. On Wuliang Mtn in C Yunnan, A. chevrieri occurs between 1800 and 2300 m where it overlaps with A. draco, which is more common at higher altitudes up to 2860 m (Jiang and Wang, 2000).
